Recycling Becomes Us All!

Saint Louis County Department of Health, Solid Waste Management Program has launched the first ever county-wide recycling education campaign. Called "Recycling Becomes Me," the campaign features preposterous visuals interjecting common recycling containers into unexpected situations. The idea is to show, in an attention getting manner, that everyone recycles - or can recycle. Recycling becomes me, and you!
The goal of this campaign is to celebrate and expand the current culture of recycling in the county and ensure everyone is recycling everything they can. Visit the campaign website, www.RecyclingBecomesMe.com, to get information.
Over the next several months and into next year, residents will encounter the campaign around the County through radio and community newspaper advertisements, at various events, as well as online. And watch out! You might even get recognized for showing great recycling behavior!
Recycling is one of the easiest ways to help the environment. Recycling everything you can makes a real impact and helps preserve the environment. Consider this: By recycling just five percent more paper, we could fill Busch Stadium more than 12 times with all the trees that would be saved.
Residents in St. Louis County have access to single-stream recycling, which means no sorting of your recyclables in required. Everything can be placed in the same container. For further details about recycling, the campaign, what you can and cannot recycle visit www.RecyclingBecomesMe.com
