About the Resourceful Schools Project

The Saint Louis County Department of Health Resourceful Schools Project (RSP) is a free resource for teachers, students, and recycling coordinators in the Saint Louis area that features tools and applications dedicated to fostering environmental awareness and education about recycling and other sustainable issues that affect us all. RSP supports reducing, reusing and recycling in both public and private schools, and communities.

What we do:

K-12 classroom presentations
Science Day/Science Night activities – papermaking, worm bin
Summer Day Camp activities – Trash Bag Relay, Recycling Bingo
Lending library – provide 3R loan kits, books and DVDs
Miscellaneous requests – composting workshops, assemblies, recycling contests, etc
RSP newsletter – We distribute an RSP newsletter which shares recycling success stories, local
opportunities, and highlights the resources we have to offer. The newsletter is a reminder to incorporate environmental education into your classes and waste reduction into the school community.
