2006-2007 Reduce - Reuse - Recycle - Challenges

Saint Louis County Department of Health recently announced a 50% waste diversion goal by the year 2010. Currently the county diverts 30% of all wastes generated from landfill disposal. To help boost the rate by 20%, RSP is offering schools special incentives and rewards to help them reach the 50% goal. Click on the following to learn more:

Fall 2006 Challenge - Recycle!

  • Increase paper and/or aluminum can recycling in the 2006-07 school year and win a park bench, made from recycled plastic lumber.

Winter 2007 Challenge - Reduce!

  • Hold a Waste-Free Lunch Day and receive free Eco-Spun cloth lunch bags.

Spring 2007 Challenge – Reuse!

  • Hold a recycled/trash art contest and RSP will provide prizes.
